Saguaro Ranch Park, Easter Pics

Our friend Jessie took these first few pics of us,
she did an excellent job.

I got this one of Ella running across the bridge while
Jill was posing for a shot with the other camera.

Telling Secrets!

Little Rob quote, "Open it, open it"
I got this one just in time, she ran off right after.

Beth took this one while Ella and I were playing around

She's been giving me driving lessons, but don't tell Mom.

Saguaro Ranch Park in Ella's Easter dress

Ella wanted to help out in the garden,
This is her favorite spot, the soil right next
to the rose bush. You can also see the cool
scab on her right knee! She's proud of it.

This is the "Noodle Farm" at the Children's Museum.
Jill sat outside the library from 7-9am one morning
to get us all free passes, so we went with Beth, Brady, and
Brynley and had a blast.

She loves stealing my hat and running around with it on.

Dragon Pox

Last Sunday morning we woke up to a bad case of
DRAGON POX

Ella Bella was covered from head to toesies.

Of course, we were in the Urgent Care
Saturday morning and they put her on a new
drug with explicit instructions to rush to the
hospital if she gets a rash cause she could
have an allergic reaction to the meds.

So we started out the new year in the ER
all Sunday morning, looking like
Mad Madame Mim from
The Sword & the Stone.

We're all good now, and sleeping much better
without that pesky DRAGON in the house.

A Little Fall Fun

It has been quite a busy little while since we've updated, so we decided to get on it. We don't want to bore anyone with too many details of our exciting lives, so we'll just give you a quick recap of our last few months...

We moved into a new house right down the street from the school

Just kidding, this is Ella's playhouse. Here's the real deal.....

Dave started his second year of dental school (and by now has finished his first quarter of that year)

Dave officially became Lt. Ryan in the National Guard.

Jill started a running group with some girls in the ward. She's so proud of all of their hard work and dedication.

Jill went to Utah for a week with a friend

Ella turned one and had her first visit to the ER while they were in Utah. Needless to say, one skull fracture and a hospital stay later, everyone survived.

Dave went to Mexico with some buddies from school. They had a great time

We made another trip to Utah because Jill's Grandpa Claire passed away. We will sure miss him.
Ella loved the snow.

Stopped by Vegas on the way home.

Ella learned to walk (running soon followed)

Dave went deer hunting (see previous post for details)

Jill's parents came to visit for a week. We went to the Grand Canyon and had lots of fun with them.

And last but not least... drum roll please....give it up for the newest member of our family!!!

Kiabab Deer Hunt

Last weekend I went deer hunting in Northern AZ
with Pops, and my uncles Mark & Troy. We only saw
does for the first few days till Dad & I found a sweet spot
our last night there. He's only a 2X2, but he weighed
more than all the other bucks hanging in camps.
Steaks, roasts, and ground venison will be here shortly!

Cabin trip w/ the Heals

Ella trudging across Fossil Springs

She just wanted to play in the water
the whole time we were there.

She especially loved the white water,
which almost swept us away a few times

It was worth the hike: 4 miles in and 4 miles out.

Boys will be boys

Boys....will be boys! As Dallas walked up to the
fire with a cup of gasoline, I knew that this was one
of those Kodak moments waiting to happen.

That shed on the left-hand side caught on
fire, to which Dallas looked up in surprise and
said, "Get some water!!" not realizing the water
hose right next to him. Fortunately, it was just
the gasoline that had ignited and it quickly evaporated
off of the shed, leaving no damage.

Our next adventure involved Dallas & I,
a Live Animal Trap (for catching squirrels),
& Pepe le Pew! We were all sitting around the fire
that night, roasting mallows & toastites when, "WHAM!!"
We heard our cage snap quickly upon our prey! This
resulted in a very stinky night, a useless attempt to
dig its way out, a futile attempt by Cory the Skunk
Whisperer, and Dallas finally sneaking up to it with
a .22 6-shooter revolver and a pellet to the head from me
immediately after. We learned our lesson though;
the next night we set a Skunk trap, which is too
small for a skunk to lift up its tail to spray if
it is trapped inside!!!!!

Luckily no one got sprayed, and the kids were
able to bathe with water and not oatmeal.

Vernal Ventures

Just eatin' grass w/ Mom

We played water balloon volleyball for FHE
at the Monfredi's!

Ella played with all her cousins, especially Eliza,
who she just adores.

We went on a drive through Dinosaur Nat'l Mon.
in Colorado w/ Jay & Cheryl and saw tons of
elk, deer, and antelope.

We all watched the Monfredi's ride on a float
in the town parade, and then had a party at IFA

Happy Anniversary
